The Book Blurb

Writer: Peggy DeBloisPeggy DeBlois

I hit another milestone on my life-as-a-writer journey: a new Maine writer asked me to read an advance copy of his book and write a "blurb" for the back cover.

Art Dingley's novel, Immigrants, is now available for purchase, and I highly recommend it. It's available directly from his publisher,  littoralbooks.com, at Sherman's chain of bookstores, and at Gulf of Maine Books in Brunswick.

There is so much to enjoy in this novel, way more than can be communicated in a simple blurb. But here it is....hope it compels you to find a copy and immerse yourself in the north woods of Maine.

Immigrants, by Art Dingley, is a beautiful depiction of the REAL Maine. Set in the remote far northern area of the state, close to the Canadian border, this novel introduces the reader to Micah, a lifelong Mainer who keeps to himself and cares for others in equal measure. Micah’s involvement in solving the mystery of the unidentified body found in the woods will keep you reading – not to mention his own personal angst over his lost love and the lovely Middle Eastern woman who runs the only store in the area. All the characters are compelling and real and will make you want to stop and linger with them.
