Well, loyal readers, I have reached the end of our cross country journey. As you can see in my photo, I have found the most comfortable way to sit in the car is like a human.
Our final travel day took us across Arizona into the deserts of Southern California. We passed by Indio and the Coachella Valley - didn't see any Burning Man festival participants covered in mud, which, quite honestly, was somewhat disappointing. Then, like an oasis in the desert, we went to Palm Springs.
We found a place called Boozehounds, where we all had brunch. Yes, me included, as this is a REAL restaurant that has a dog menu. I chose the spinach egg bites with a side of beef jerky, and they were delightful accompanied by a large bowl of ice water.
